Could you please eloborate, if it’s not too personal, what so cursing and weaning about it (breast-feeding). I want another woman’s PoV(Point of View) regarsing this.
pathania:
Well breast feeding is not just a simple physical act of providing nourishment to the baby. It is far more deeper than that. And yes, it does have issues attached like the baby not being able to latch properly, discomfort faced by the mother, inadequate quantity of milk produced, too much of milk produced, and so on. But yes, with the right attitude and support from the family, a woman is able to overcome all these difficulties. It takes time and patience though…
Weaning is equally difficult. Both the child and the mother have to get used to the distance that it brings. Remember, its not easy to let someone go so easily!
Thank you of elaborating, just one question, what do u think of women, who think otherwise i.e. not breastfeeding at all.
pathania:
I think breastfeeding is a matter of personal choice. There are many women in my family who could/did not breastfeed their child, and they are still great as mothers! Breastfeeding has its own benefits for the mother and the child, but still if some women don’t want to go for it, there is nothing wrong in it…
