I like Arthur Hailey’s style of writing – not for the story but for the descriptive narration. This one (like the one I read earlier – The Hotel) explores the industry (in this case, hospital). The beauty, as I said, is not in the sub plots (they all are quite predictable and you must have heard them before), rather it’s the exploration that keeps you hooked till the end…
