Valentine’s day present…

I have always been an emotional fool,

falling in trap of honeyed words.

And when the sweetness wears off

I feel the pain piercing my heart.

But the heart manages to find

enough reasons to trust again

until the next time it is broken

and drowns me in bottomless pit of pain.

 

 

(But then it’s the season of love

and this is the best gift I can give to myself.

To allow myself to trust yet again

despite the dangers involved!)
