Gift of life..

It is amazing to see how much a small being can teach you. It has been just a few days and I have already metamorphosed into someone who is full of patience and tolerance. Not only that, I have started to realize the extent to which one can go for love. It is a heady feeling. For those who have experienced motherhood, it would not be difficult to relate to. And for those who haven’t , all I can say is that it is worth the sleepless nights, backaches and other physical ailments that one might have to go through.

I never thought of myself as an anxious and a paranoid person …

Until I met her …

She makes me nervous and happy at the same time…. I have begun to laugh and cry for no reason at all.. And yes, I have started to panic at every small move/gesture/cry of hers that does not conform to the “normal”…

I belong

With my mother and father coming from different backgrounds and we growing up in different places, I had always faced the problem of lacking the sense of belonging towards any particular community. To compound it, I got married in a culture that was entirely different from anything that I had ever experienced!

But whenever I go to a Punjabi wedding, and they play this, there is nothing stopping me from trying out a step or two! And then I know exactly where I belong to…
